ABOUT ME

At the risk of sounding cliche, I don't think I can sum up 'about me' in a couple of paragraphs but I'll give it a good old go! I am a born and bred South East Londoner, my previous career path took me all over the world but I landed back here and fell in love with Hackney, before leaving London and realising all I ever wanted is a life by the sea in Hastings, with my partner, our son and our two dogs. Awwww....

 

My love for aerial goes all the way back to visiting the circus as a child, and though I'm afraid of heights, and hate anything that spins, I have somehow managed to carve a career out of being largely upside down, in the air, spinning. Pole and hoop are my main aerial disciplines, but I teach and train hammocks, and silks, additionally.

Yoga came into my life at a time when I desperately needed some respite from stresses, aches and tensions. It was a life changing practice, so much so that I decided to train and teach it alongside my other passions. After practicing for many years, I fell head over heels for Aerial Yoga which combined both of my loves. I had hopes of being able to help others that needed that special something to keep them going, or just show my students the beauty of breath and movement, how good our bodies can feel, and the reasons behind every stretch, breath and pose.

My teaching style is inclusive, encouraging and thorough. Celebrating how our bodies feel before how they look. I like to add a little humour to my classes, life is too short to be serious. It's so important to me that we leave our egos behind when we come to practice and meet ourselves with acceptance (and a bit of a giggle)...
