I've never done any yoga/aerial is that a problem?

No! I love working with those right at the beginning of their journey, whether you want a private Yoga or Aerial class or if you want to take my Kickstarter Course which is aimed at complete beginners, I can set you off on the right foot. All you need is patience, determination and a good sense of humour (I find this helps in most situations!)

is there a required age?

I am not qualified to teach anyone under the age of 16 unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian, as for age limit, you are only as old as you feel! Come give it a go!
 

What is the difference between yoga and pilates? and which should i do?

Yoga is the ancient practice of Asanas and Pranayama (poses and breath work) It aims to open the chakras, aid calming and relaxation, help with poor breathing technique and flexibility. 

Pilates is a newer practice that focuses on correcting posture, working on the core and focusing on the principles of Pilates: Breathing, Concentration, Control, Centring, Flow, Alignment,  Precision.

Yoga and Pilates are often painted with the same brush and do have similarities but which you do is completely based on what you want to achieve, drop me a message and lets discuss your goals further.

 

where do you teach?

If you book a private Yoga session we can practice at the studio in Camden (time restrictions) or in the comfort of your own home! Or you can join one of my public classes which will be displayed on the class timetable (this changes regularly)

Aerial classes are held at Skylab Studio, both public and private, if you have your own equipment we can practice at your place!

 

i have an injury/ am in recovery, what should i do?

Please let me know of any injuries before we begin, preferably before booking, so we can discuss what is best for you. In some cases I can suggest a different route... for example if you book an aerial course but are recovering from spine injuries I would suggest we switch to Pilates to recover your strength and core, or Yoga for your flexibility.

PLEASE NOTE - I cannot accept anyone Pregnant past the 1st trimester in any of my Aerial Classes. I can offer specific 1-2-1 yoga in the 2nd and 3rd trimester (No aerial)
 

what is aerial yoga?

Aerial Yoga is the practice of Yoga (breath, flow and asanas) but with the use of Aerial hammocks to assist stretching and poses, with inversions, balance and flight. Combining Circus arts with traditional Yoga.
 

what is aerial? is it right for me?

Aerial is the practice of disciplines that are traditionally from the circus arts: Silks, Hoop and Pole. Lately the Aerial arts have become a popular way of keeping fit as they are impressive, fun and don't feel like a work out!

Aerial is for EVERYONE, However I would suggest that if you wish to take on a specific discipline you need to be able to lift yourself on the apparatus, I can help you with this in my aerial conditioning classes, or we can work on it together in a 1-2-1 class!

It is important to remember that Aerial is HARD! Do not be disheartened if you aren't flowing through the sir on your first lesson.

What are the cancellation policies?

If you book a private block of classes I am happy to reschedule if given at least 24 hours notice (emergencies are taken into consideration of course!) For one off private classes, I have to book the studio so unless there is 24 hours notice I cannot offer a refund.
